Busy But Meaningful

I am supposed to write this post during the PM preparation camp. Actually, i thought it should be some sort of training camp, but in fact, we were only trained to be more motivated and more alike a role model of a good leader, other time were spent in preparation. I thank God for being chosen to be the student assistant (Pembantu Mahasiswa - PM), although I know I have let go several important chances in UM life. I have been blessed after knowing the real God, meanwhile I have suffered for being so prideful and self-centered in my life. However, may Lord get the praise from my mouth and spirit greatly for everything I encountered recently, as I know you deserve the praise no matter what.

MHS - Minggu Haluansiswa
I had been busy of this orientation week for the new intake freshies sesi 2012/2013. Before that week, we - PMs had been hectic for preparing all the important things before the orientation week. It was really torturing and memorable to me. Good thing was that I started to mingle with non-Chinese people, this did make me a big change in my life that I never expected to happen on me. Due to the change, I found my mindset has been changed unwittingly as well. I learn not to be racist and try to treat the people in the same way. I found Chinese has to learn this behavior also, as being in your safety zone can only make our Chinese getting weaker and incapable in our society. Getting out of your box - safety zone is not enjoyable, but worth absolutely if you want to improve the way you think and learn to have critical thinking.
Back to the topic, it was funny and interesting to meet the juniors with all unique faces from all different family background, it made me hard to keep myself from being excited. It was some kind of pleasure to help the juniors up during MHS, some of them were too weak to fall sick and some of them were extremely home-sick. We were just trying to be kind and helpful so that they could undergo the tough moment during MHS at ease. During MHS, I was given two hours to sleep for every day, as I need to give them a Moral Slot every morning with other non-Muslim PMs. It was pitiful that they didn't have a period time to exercise to get their tension off, I felt sad extremely of that.
After MHS, I was glad to get some appreciation letters from juniors, it was my pleasure to be appreciated and I didn't expect any letters from anyone. Besides of being appreciated, I would like to appreciate the assists from other non-Muslims PMs to me during the preparation and also MHS. Without their assists, I think I would not be able to handle the tension and hectic pace. I believe the bonding is there, and I am pretty sure that is a strong one.

After MHS, we prepared a Chinese Community Interaction Week in our college for the Chinese Freshies. I thank God that the interaction week was kinda well-organized and effective to enhance the relationship among Chinese. Besides that, we were given a lot of good feedback from the juniors, it was successful. I felt sad for those who were not able to join us during the interaction week, as we may not manage to link them well without this interaction week. Hope that we can have a good relationship among each and every one of us. For CCIW, I would like to give thanks to the high committees who contributed a lot during preparation and the week. I am blessed to have all of you so helpful and capable.

After CCIW, there was another event called MISJU - Minggu Interaksi Senior Junior during the following week. Very "luckily",I was chosen to be the event's director by an unknown. I was given chance to be the leader of the people from different races. Thank God for it was a really difficult and special learning lesson to me. Argh... >.<*
However, with the assists of the committees, everything was carried out smoothly, many good feedback were given by our Master of college after the event, it was unbelievable. I was happy to see the people enjoyed during the event especially with a huge hamper on their hands. The effort made was worth as long as people appreciated it so much.

After that, I was too "free" to plan for a junior's birthday surprise. The birthday surprise was requested by the junior's friend. Basically, I had no duty to do that, but somehow I did it for them. Anyway, it was a blessed birthday celebration which could get all the Chinese gathered again. Hope them to have all the best in future.

After all these busy week, I started to be settled down little by little. I believe there are a lot problems for me to face in future, and I know that with my own strength I can't manage to cope with them. May God bless me. :)
Happy Moon Cake Festival!!
