As a Christian, I know quite well about Jesus Christ generally, because this is a must to know the God you believe in. But I never expect that there are many people other than Christians know quite a lot about Jesus Christ! Haha! It's such as big surprise to me, meanwhile a pleasant news to me. At least, my God is really well-known not merely among his own worshipers. I got this news from an event, a so-called interfaith talk organized by an Islam organization.
The topic of this talk was all about Jesus Christ, surprisingly and interestingly from Christianity and Islam perspectives. It was the first time I joined this kind of supposedly awkward talk. I thought that would be a debate on what Christians and Muslims believe in Jesus Christ, but thank God this is a friendly talk which helps the public to gain more knowledge about Jesus Christ to Christians and Muslims, meanwhile let Christians and Muslims exchange knowledge about Jesus Christ among each others.
The speaks are really both highly educated and having a high understanding about Jesus Christ. I don't really know them, but I am sure that one of them is Dr. Living Lee who represents Christianity to share about the point of view about Jesus Christ to Christianity. They shared about the history of Jesus Christ to the audiences according to their own bible and Al-Qur'an. I like the way they presented, because they are really confident and clear about what they believe. They didn't say something about other religions, they didn't comment on other point of view. Two speakers had no both-ways question and answer section. But they allowed the audiences to hand up question papers to the speakers, and had a both-ways Q and A section between speakers and the audiences in this simple way.
During this talk, I was surprised that a real Muslim needs to believe in Jesus Christ as well. They need to believe and acknowledge the existence of Jesus Christ. They need to believe that he was one of the prophets and born under the cover of holy spirit. However, some differences in some beliefs really amazed me. For instance, they don't believe that Jesus Christ underwent crucifixion, died and arose 3 days after the crucifixion. They believe that Jesus Christ did not die at all, and got raised up to the heaven eventually. They don't believe that Jesus was come as a God, which means they didn't recognize him as a God, but a really powerful prophet. It was a really eye-opener to me about Muslims' point of view to Jesus Christ.
During Q and A questions, i found that there were many interesting questions. However, the way they answered to the questions were really impressive and polite. They respected each and every questions and answered according to the teaching from the bible. One question was that, how can we get peace in this world, by just believing in Jesus (historical person)?Explain. (question to Dr. Living Lee) He replied: "Well, it is difficult to let you understand fully. Okay..imagine one day, you heard a man with mental disorder told you that he can feel the love from a teddy bear. You can never understand, because he is the only one you can feel it, he strongly believes that is real. He could be either right or having something with his mental. On the other side, you got informed by a man that he can feel the love from his watch! No other people can believe that, because he is the only one who believes in that. In this kind of situation, normally people believe that both guys are having mental problem, because no other people can feel the love from watch and teddy bear! But in this world, you can find that there are millions of people who shared about the testimonies of how Jesus Christ changed their lives! It's either you choose to believe that these millions people have mental problem or they are really saying something real but seemingly insensible to others."
The way he explained about the most complicated and incomprehensible thing to many people is that the trinity of God in Christianity. We couldn't find a thing in daily life as a great example and description for the trinity. However he said:" can you see the triangle? A triangle has three sides essentially. We couldn't form a triangle without a side, it applies the same thing to trinity, God is of three persons, it's like a triangle with three sides but doesn't mean that we got three Gods. The triangle is one after all, God is only one as well."
That was a successful talk after all, and the auditorium was fully occupied. That was the first time I witnessed the fullness within the auditorium and this was all because of the talk about Jesus Christ. Well.. Proud of believing in Jesus Christ, at least after this, I know that many people know this "historical person" is extraordinary.

Powerless Voice
Recently, I found myself a very sensitive person who is quite good on perceiving people's emotion. I wonder since when I start to be this sensitive. I was being called as a "Big Prawn Head", but now I seems to be placed in opposite situation. I believe that one of the reasons is that I don't really know what I myself want and the reason I live. When people are not able to see the purpose of life, they would be lost and helpless, even diffident of their own selves. The purpose of life acts like the light in the darkness, shines to let you see where you are, and let you perceive others' feeling. I think I was really blur about what I want and what to do most of the time. Before you can be concerning other people, you need to be able to tackle your own emotion and thought. When we cannot handle personal problem, I don't think we will bother to help the people around us.
I made a call to my mum this afternoon, as I found that the tickets back to my hometown were sold out. I can only go back on Saturday by a midnight bus. Hence, I called her to ask her opinion. During the call, the bus problem was no longer important to me, when I heard her powerless voice once she talked. Her voice sent me a lot of messages once I heard it. I found it was really weak and vulnerable. First message was that she must have some health problem and sufferer for something. Hence, I switched my topic from telling her the bus problem to asking her condition without hesitation. It is sad to be helpless, when I can do nothing after knowing her condition. She fell down one day and got her bone to minor crack. My Goodness! How can it happen?! She told me that now she feels in pain every time she bends her waist.
Mother is the great creature of love in the world. She got injured now, but she told me that my brother got dengue and asked me to get to him and show my concern. How mighty love does she have, until she can merely care about her son's health problem and neglect her own? She seldom asked me to take care of her, but to take care of other people. That's why I trained to be caring, and hence got many friends from different stages. This is because of the time I spent for friends is really much.

Similarity
I am not a guy who really knows how to spend more time with parents. I believe that I am a kind of typical example of guys at least for those who are Chinese educated. Therefore, one of the great ways to spend time with them is watching television. I don't really enjoy following the movie series sometime, as I don't know how it's going on in the story most of the time.
This time, the TV showed something interesting. It showed the process of how a penguin grows. I watched the whole process and it is really impressive and interesting.
First of all, they are two mature penguins. The mother laid two eggs for its new generation. They gathered the stones around the eggs so that to separate the eggs from the cold land. Warming the eggs is one of the important process to make sure the baby can properly grow inside the eggshell.
Once the babies inside the eggshells completely grow up, they would break the shell and get free. They are really cute and innocent when they are officially claimed to be alive. It is always a pleasant thing to see a brand-new life get born. Anyway, it is just a beginning for the parents. They need to take turn and get some foods for their children, in order to make sure they have sufficiently fed and properly grown. This is because the children need to get to the next stage (molting) before the days they need to get out of their comfort place to the ocean in order to escape from the coming stormy snow. They need to be fast before the days come, as it only takes about 2 months time for the children to get ready.
It is interesting when I saw what the female penguin did before it gave the foods to its children. The mother ran randomly for the children to chase after it, once they got their mother, they could only get the foods from their mother's mouth. The purpose of this thing is to test whether their children's muscles are growing well. This kind of testing is lovely. It reflects something like what actually the parents should do. You need to test your children maturity level from time to time. You don't only care about supplying the daily need but you make sure that they consume whatever they have gained from you. By the way they run is really funny and amusing. haha!!! On the way they grow up, there are eagles flying around to look for the good chance to hunt the baby penguins. Eagles don't just hunt for fun, they hunt to get food supplied for the children. In the midst of it, the parent penguins endeavor to protect their children from getting hurt. Recalling how my parents protect my brother, when he got hurt seriously. Touched~
According to the information given, the reason for them to molt is that the original furs absorb water, so it blocks the penguins for being capable to swing. Therefore, they need to shed off all the original furs and get a set of brand-new furs which is oily. When the day came, one of the babies was able to molt and got ready itself to leave the place. Another baby was not able to molt on time, it could only wait for death helplessly as the stormy snow came. It can't be helped even by their parents, as their parents needed to leave the place as well. It seems to be too real and like a reflection of human realistic life. If you are not able to grow to a certain stage before it is too late, you will be eliminated eventually. It is not really a cruel thing, but it is a real fact. Impressed to find that animal life is alike as human real life.
After that, the penguin gets into the ocean and move to a new place which is unfamiliar but safe to them. The ocean is not really safe actually, not because of the storms or rains, but there are many stronger animals hunger for delicious preys make it to be fearful. One of them is seal which is not clumsy at all as a predator in that cold ocean. It always looks for the chance when a penguin is moving alone. That always becomes a good chance for it to hunt for its meal. Therefore, the weaker needs to stick together in order to gain faith and power against the strong and powerful enemy. That is why the penguins always stick together when they want to move. If you are prideful to be a loner who ignores people advice and helps, I think the pride would make you pay when the day comes.
On year passed, the young penguins grown to be mature enough to conduct their instinct obligation which is reproduction. The process is so easy and interesting. They more to a place where they used to gather for reproduction. Once they gathered, males and females have chances to meet and confess. A male penguin confessed and showed care to the female penguin. The female penguin accepted it and they get together. I believe the reason for them to get together that efficiently is because they have only one purpose of life for them. They only care about reproduction for their next generation, right? One of the main reasons for humans finding difficult to get together is because the people have their own purposes of life that they insist of nowadays. They can only get together if their purpose of life is in common.

Recalling
Sitting in front of laptop, typing with my fingers on the keyboard, I am writing my post after a long period silence.
Let's recall some memories which are fresh. There are really plentiful and I don't think I am able to write them all down by words.
This new semester began, I had been preparing the event in my college which was MKTH. We call it Tiong Hua Cultural Night. It was quite a big project, much time and effort is needed to make it a successful one. The main purpose of this event is to unite the Chinese in our college. Throughout the preparation, I found that it is really difficult to lead the people who are not dedicated to work with you with 100% effort. I wonder if I am not qualified to be a good leader, as I failed to make majority to be more proactive in order to reduce the burden of other dedicated members whom I appreciate greatly.
People said I should be more mean and strict so that they would fear me and follow what I command. I don't think that will work, because I pay no money to them, they don;t have the obligation to work with me. How can I ensure that they won't run away after I show my anger for their passiveness? If they run away, I think the thing would be the same after all. I am happy that I learn a lot of things and met a lot of friends of different ages that I didn't expect to get during this preparation. However, I feel quite a failure that I couldn't draw the people to me along the way I prepare my event.
What is going on? Our CC has done a lot of things and activities just to bind them closer for the sake of the future, but what I realized is that people unite when there is benefit and fun for them, they will dismiss and turn their status into unavailable to you all if you want them to contribute or put effort on something. I found it suck and really realistic. I don't find it unfair to me, as I don't really care how much I have contributed, I just feel really unfair for the people who worked with me wholeheartedly but eventually they had the feeling of giving up due to the exhaustion and discouragement.
I found that people are really selfish and it is hard to find a person who lend you his helping hands without asking anything as return. I think after this, I will be more thankful to the people who are willing to take action to help me. Thank God for anything.
